Series Hunt to Represent Frank Hunt & Co. has announced a relationship with A. J. Frank Motorsports to represent the young NASCAR standout in marketing and sponsorship endorsements. Frank, 24, of Hilton Head, South Carolina, will contest the NASCAR Slim Jim All Pro Series in 1999, vying for Rookie of the Year honors with the help of Fuel Clothing Co. and Millionaire Magazine on his No. 11 Pontiac Grand Prix. Hunt & Co. will represent Frank with his sponsorship programs and licensing as well as execute a sponsor development program. "A.J. has been impressive in every type of racing he's done," said Kurt Hunt, President of Hunt & Co. "He's a smart businessman as well and has laid the foundation with some great sponsors to build on. I'm pleased to be associated with A. J. and his family and anxious to help his career grow with these and future motorsports partnerships." Born in Philadelphia, Pa., Frank moved to South Carolina at a young age and began racing in the Western Eastern Roadracers' Association, founded by has parents, at age 13. After over 30 wins in five years, Frank graduated to SCCA Club Racing, NASCAR Late Models and finally the Russell Racing School in 1995. Following his Russell training at Laguna Seca Raceway, Frank returned to the East Coast to compete at Oglethorpe Raceway in the Late Model division. In 1996, he earned eight top-fives and 11 top-10s at Oglethorpe, and contested his first-ever Busch Grand National race at Watkins Glen. In 1997, Frank graduated to the NASCAR Goody's Dash series, where he suffered from frequent mechanical woes despite displaying speed and race savvy. Last year, he again ran in the Goody's Dash Series and the NASCAR Busch North Series. Hunt & Co. is a sports and entertainment marketing enterprise founded by former Indianapolis Motor Speedway Marketing Director and IMS Radio Network chief Kurt Hunt in 1998. The relationship with Frank adds to a diverse clientele for Hunt & Co., which includes the U.S. F2000 National Championship, Strike Ten and Dow AgroSciences.
